I wish

Most things I want to say have already been said in other reviews, so I won't repeat them here.

What I'd like to add is that I really wish there was a FUN "endless mode", instead of an endless mode that becomes too hard to win before you can buy all the upgrades you wanted, and that adds so many white blood cells and antibiotica to the screen that the game starts to lag...

At the very least, allow replaying earlier levels with your latest upgrades, to be able to actually ENJOY those upgrades! Buying an upgrade isn't enjoyable if the next level becomes impossible (in endless mode).

What is this FUN you are talking about? Seriously though, I think you're onto something, I'll keep your idea of an easy endless mode for just messing around in mind.

Gave up

I got to floor 220 or so (character level 50 or so), and then gave up, because the gameplay stopped being addicting, there was no variation anymore.

I died twice and used the continue twice, but after the second time I guess I had my stats "right" (I was paladin and started to concentrate on adding more speed at that point).

It is true that the buildup in an RPG is important, and this game emphesized that. But it would have been much more interesting if there was more complexity added by adding special equipment types (e.g. rings) or abilities, which have some weird non linear effect to the stats, or things like multiple monsters, magic spells, etc..., something to have more than 4 stats and 3 equipment types with a linear buildup...

Some kind of ability tree might be interesting, then you can explore different branches of the tree when retrying :)

Not as bad as some reviewers make it.

I found the graphics the best part of this game. Those were really nice.

The gameplay started to be better towards the end.

The jumping was indeed a bit annoying sometimes, but to me what was the most annoying is that sometimes double jump didn't work if you pressed the up arrow twice (maybe because double jump only works when going downwards and I pressed it too early? Still annoying).

There was a glitch in the last level: After I finidhed the boss, I got the reward money (and the story about what the end boss said about the scroll), but the game then stayed in that level. I killed the other guys there, took everything, but couldn't do anything else but quit using the "m" button. When I did that, the game hanged, still in that level... After refreshing the browser window I was in the menu again, and WITH the reward money from the last level! I would have preferred to see an ending of the story rather than being stuck in a level with a glitch...

The secrets are nice. The stealth started to get nice once you had enough upgrades. In the last levels, I started to feel really ninja-like when I could throw shurikens at enemies while they didn't even detect me, and when using "d" walking past everyone undetected. In the beginning the stealth skills were really useless though.

I didn't understand the point of the throwing spears, maybe I missed something (low range and 1 damage even after upgrades?)

Sometimes it was frustrating when accidently falling down at the bottom of the level due to a jump annoyance and having to start over.

Cool

Really cool idea and well executed :)

I was only a bit dissapointed that I didn't get a special ending for being able to kill them all in 7 shots (the minimum). And the lack of a start button of course!

Fun

Quite fun. Not that hard though.

Lies!

The description is all lies!!

> Dynamic Real Time Combat - Jump, slash, and block enemy attacks

It's not dynamic! You can't choose which move! And most of the time it's turn based instead of real time!

> Upgradeable Stats - Personalize your character any way you want

Any way you want? There's only one way!

> Magic spells - Unlease power elemental forces to lay waste to your foes

Elemental forces? I saw only one force, fire!

> Shops to purchase additional items and gear to help your quest

There was never any gear in the shops! Only a single potion.

> Three diabolical bosses to really test your skills

Oh really? There was twice the same boss!!!

11 dramatic orchestral tunes from the fine folks over at the audio portal

Ok, this one is true.

Not so good looking

The gameplay is... well, like any shift game, the shift games are a good concept. But I really don't like the graphics of this one. The pixelized antialiazing effect does not look good at all. It looks like a JPEG image encoded with really really bad quality, except it's a combination of pixelized jaggies and a failed attempt at smoothing it out. I think this game needs a few tweaks and then it'd be really enjoyable :)

Cool

I discovered two alternate realities: the glasses one and the dinosaur one! And the combination of both, which consists out of both dinosaurs and palm trees with glasses :) I wonder if there are more alternate endings?

Could be improved

I like this kind of game, with launching something and upgrades etc..., but I agree with other comments that it can be improved:
-it's too short
-too little control, it's more a game of chance to get certain goodies
-it's a shame that when you're in the high space it stops, it would be nice to be able to keep going upwards
-when a bunny drops down and you have carrots left there should be a way to let it keep going

fear not man who practice thousand attacks once. fear man who practice one attacks, thousand times.
