I liked this game a lot, but then I tried slither.io. Slither.io has actual multiplayer instead of fake multiplayer, and the score in slither.io actually works while in this game it's bugged, starting to behave strange with steps at 54k, 59k, 65k, 74k and capping at 89k. Slither.io also does not have the annoying loud MLG sounds. Plus point of Snake.is MLG however is that you get notified if a snake hits you. I prefer the real multiplayer and working score though.

Llove the CRT graphics! Excellent rendering.

My only gripes:

You cannot play again until you typed your name. There should be an always present "play again" button, not only sometimes present. I did not realize that, and was not bothering with sending highscores. So I thought the "replay" button was to play again, but it was not, I was very confused why it did not respond to my controls but used the old ones in black and white, and thought this was related to some overarching "evil glitch" plot that also involved right click to go back in time but that did nothing, I didn't get it and was on the verge of stopping playing.

Second, when I figured out that you needed to type name, I pressed backspace, but it instead went back to the previous newgrounds page.

Thanks for taking the time to review it, I'm going to check the issues you mention.

This entire series is amazing! The atmosphere, the depth, the audio, I enjoyed your games for multiple evenings exploring every corner of them. Thanks!

ZeroDigitZ responds:

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you liked it.

Awesome, loved the twists and especially narration.

A few bugs noted:
The "sub"titles are not synchronized well, they appear up to 10 seconds before the voice is there.
On the second screen, if you try going to the left, you may fall down under the snow, and cannot swim there.

TheMillz responds:

the "subs" have been removed

I have to commend you for making a game with the best controls I've ever seen in a web based game. Queing commands, right clicking, middle drag, ... awesome!

Much of the game looks heavily based on starcraft though.

Thank you, I will add more new elements in the new gameļ¼

Very nice and smooth game!

My only critique is that the locations of those hearts should also be indicated beforehand, so that getting them is a matter of skill rather than of gambling.

Zanzlanz responds:

Thank you Aardwolf!

I had the same thought about the heart indicator too. The problem is, with the current level size, it makes it too easy to get them. I'd rather just "train" players to shoot at walls as they come by, which is equally as skill-based, in my opinion. Plus, walls give points :)
All things considered, I THINK it's balanced alright, and has the intended difficulty curve.

But yes, incorporating skill into an auto-shooter was extremely difficult. Hopefully next time the theme isn't "One Button Controls" hahah!

Thanks again!

Very nice!

One annoying bug: after I got the jetpack, I flew up from map coordiantes 4,3 to 4,4 (coordinates starting at 0,0 from top left) upwards into green slime, and now I'm stuck forever, restart just makes me restart in the green slime again, cannot continue.

Yeah I'm an idiot some times..

Hi, the puzzle concept and the level design is extremely great! Super addicting.

But the way to place walls is annoying. It would be easier if clicking a square would toggle between wall and no wall. Then you would not need to constantly switch between "place" and "delete" tool.

And, the scrolling is annoying and unnecessary. Most maps would fit on one screen. They don't center correctly at the start of a level, so you have to switch to keyboard to scroll every time, which is annoying when using mouse.

But the concept is *great*!!

Hoork responds:

I am very happy that you enjoyed my game! Thank you.

You gave me a really great Idea! But I need to think about it. It can turn out, that your mode is more tedious than old one(for example, you are trying to delete walls, but accidentally put some, while deleting it).

I added scrolling and give a player a full look of level at the start, that he did not miss anything. I just afraid that interface would hide the part of the level.

Thanks for your advices!

P.S. use "E" on the keyboard to switch to the "draw"/"erase" mode. It's less annoying actually.
