This game was fantastic, the mechanic was really nice. I've never seen it before.

I would have liked to be able to see where monsters will spawn after a button press before pressing the button, to choose strategic locations (of course when starting the level again I then knew where they'd spawn so it's fine I guess).

I would have liked a warning before exiting to the next level. Sometimes I accidently stepped on the exit while I still wanted to take items and coins.

The game could have been a bit longer, and the ending a bit more epic.

MagicalTimeBean responds:

A lot of people want to see a final boss fight, and I hear that... going to see what I can do about that for Soulcaster III. Also, telegraphing incoming enemy forces is another thing I want to improve on, maybe by giving an animation and sound effect when a spawner is about to start releasing enemies.

It sounded good, but I was immediately disappointed when I saw it is mouse controlled instead of keyboard controlled. And of course there's mouse lag too. How do you even create a game with mouse lag, it's remembering the past trail of my mouse, can't you just draw the ship at the correct mouse coordinates without remembering previous locations?

ZEGMAN responds:

Buy the upgrade to increase mouse handling

I love it just like any other Sharks game, and it is good fun. It's not that different from the others though other than the theme, the novelty has kind of worn off. The medals aren't working that well too, e.g. in game I received the 20 unicorns and royal family medals, but on NG I only got the royal family one.

No keyboard key to progress the dialogues makes me a very sad panda!

Seriously, switching between keyboard and mouse sucks.

Fun game. Wiii, flying skyscrapers :)

Could have been a bit longer. Also, what does the yellow pie with a red thing on top, before it becomes the castle, represent?? I have no idea other than a pie...

I don't really like the floating islands that much. The jumping controls are a bit sluggish. Crates or goodies from monsters falling down into infinity are unpleasant. Collecting money to improve your base goes a bit slow imho.

I don't know. Sometimes there are cells that look smaller than me and yet they hurt me. There is terrible mouse lag sometimes. And it is unclear when a level is going to end.

It's good fun, there are some really fun weapons and enemies. Here are some suggestions for improvements:

-auto pickup weapons if you have no weapon, auto pickup armor if you have 0 armor, auto pickup health pack if you have less than 25%. Pressing the down arrow during battle is clumsy and also very annoying to accidently pick a stupid weapon that replaces your minigun if you were trying to pick up the health pack right next to it.

-the tequilla move is not all that useful: you can kill those zombies better with your weapons. With the tequilla move, the killed enemies don't count as combos that give coins, and it does almost no damage to bosses. Maybe let the tequilla bottles give money or some other bonus if your bar is full and you take extra bottles?

-Whether you can slay a final boss depends a lot on which weapons you happen to obtain during the last level. So if you have some bad luck of not receiving any good weapons and health packs during the final boss battle, you have to start over all 13 levels again to hope next time you'll have better luck... Your upgrades don't matter that much here. Maybe have some way to guarantee that you get some of your upgraded weapons during any battle?

IriySoft responds:

Hey, sounds good, thanks!

The game is not bad at all, but it suffers from things already mentioned by others.

-jump upgrades should have been double and triple jump, where you can press the up key again in mid-air to jump an extra time. Then you don't lose the advantages of a single jump

-I didn't know how to use the coins for upgrades until I entered the second star system after finishing all first star system levels.

-It's annoying that if you finish a planet you're in the star system selection screen instead of the screen of that planet

-Some levels are really easy, others too difficult (it starts quite difficult, then after your first upgrades things get really easy, then the final levels are extremely difficult again and require constant grinding in the same low levels for coins).

This game is pretty simple, but very enjoyable thanks to the atmosphere. Nice!

fear not man who practice thousand attacks once. fear man who practice one attacks, thousand times.
